Dental Implants

Dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically placed in the jawbone to permanently replace the roots of one or more missing teeth, and anchor one or more prosthetic teeth in the form of a dental crown, dental bridge, or implant-supported denture. Along with providing the most secure and natural-looking appearance and fit, dental implants help prevent jaw and facial bone loss and enable you to confidently and comfortably chew and speak.

If you have already experienced some jaw bone loss or could benefit from strengthening your bone to successfully receive a dental implant, you may benefit from a bone graft or sinus lift before your dental implants are placed. In the weeks and months following implant placement, your bone structure will bond to the implant and securely anchor it in place in a process called osseointegration. Once your implants are firmly anchored in place, your dentist will place an abutment (attachment piece) on each implant, which will be used to securely anchor your implant restoration or implant-supported denture.

Implant Restoration

Once your dental implants have integrated into your bone structure, you’ll receive one or more custom restorations that uplift your smile and your face’s natural aesthetic to restore your oral health and function.

implant-supported crown

Made of zirconia or gold, an implant-supported crown is anchored onto a single dental implant and used to replace a single tooth, restore your natural chewing ability, and seamlessly blend with your smile’s natural aesthetic.

implant-supported bridge

Made of porcelain or a combination of porcelain and metal, an implant-supported bridge is anchored onto two or more dental implants to replace two or more adjacent teeth by “bridging the gap.” Along with creating a natural aesthetic, an implant-supported bridge is more stable than a conventional bridge and leaves your remaining natural teeth intact.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Made of acrylic or a combination of acrylic and porcelain, implant-supported dentures are securely anchored onto two to eight dental implants, using a support bar and attachment clips. Implant-supported are incredibly stable, indistinguishable from natural teeth, and easy to clean.

Partial Dentures

Custom-made to fit into your smile like a puzzle piece, partial dentures enable you to replace several missing teeth. Attached with special brackets or clips, partial dentures are made of acrylic or a combination of acrylic and porcelain, and are designed to compliment your facial features and look like natural teeth.

Dentures

Full dentures are a set of lifelike prosthetic teeth that sit in an acrylic base that matches the shade of your gum tissue. Used to replace an entire arch of missing or extracted teeth, full dentures are designed to comfortably fit over your upper or lower alveolar ridge (arch) and are held securely in place by suction or a special dental adhesive.
