Are you unhappy with the look of your smile? If you don’t like the look of your smile and want to have a beautiful, straight smile, Invisalign might be a good treatment option for you. The outcomes of Invisalign are similar to those of traditional metal braces. Unlike traditional metal braces though, Invisalign is a virtually invisible, removable option to straighten crooked teeth.

Invisalign uses a series of clear, plastic aligner trays to gradually straighten teeth. Although Invisalign trays should be worn the majority of the day to be effective, they are removable to eat and brush your teeth. The appearance and convenience of Invisalign over traditional metal braces make Invisalign a desirable option for many patients.

In order to make sure that Invisalign is the right option for you, it is important to make sure that you are a good candidate. Our dentists will look at all of your orthodontic problems and consider a variety of criteria such as:

  • The extent of teeth crookedness or severe orthodontic problems — Invisalign is not a good option for people with severe orthodontic issues. It is more suitable for patients with mild to moderate alignment issues.
  • Tooth gaps and overcrowding — Invisalign is successful at realigning teeth that are not severely misplaced.
  • Timeline — Invisalign takes time and is not an instant dental solution. You must be willing to commit to 1-2 years of treatment, as would be required with traditional braces.
  • Age — The ideal Invisalign candidate will be over the age of 14
